10.4.24 Announcements

 

Attention all student drivers: If you haven't purchased your student parking pass yet and are driving to school, please do so as soon as possible. Parking is being enforced. Tickets have been issued and must be paid as soon as possible! 

(Everyday until removed)

 

The Beta Club is hosting a 5K Color Run on Saturday, October 19th at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. You can register to run or walk in the 5K through the school website or the QR code on posters around campus. Proceeds from the race benefit The Outlaw Cancer Foundation and Beta Club members. Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt and goodie bag. (read all week) 

 

Attention Juniors: If you are interested in Career Connection opportunities (also known as job shadowing), please sign up on Ms. Ostheim’s door, Room 105. (read October 1-14)

 

Junior Beta Club students in 7th and 8th grade should be checking their email daily for important club information.  (read through 10/4)

 

North Duplin FFA was represented at the Federation Truck & Tractor competition Tuesday held at Richland’s High School. Wilson Rouse placed 1st in Truck Driving and will represent North Duplin at the State Competition held in February. Rylan Ingram placed 2nd in Tractor Driving. 

Seniors, Jostens, will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8th, at 9:30 in the gym to talk about cap and gown orders.

 

Juniors and Seniors wanting to take James Sprunt classes in the spring must come by guidance this week and see Mrs.Taylor to sign up .

 

Underclassmen pictures are Tuesday, Oct. 15. Students must use the code on their order form to purchase pictures. These forms were passed out recently in the first period class. If you did not receive one, there are a few order forms left in Mrs. Young’s room.

 

Senior Portrait retakes are Tuesday, Oct. 22. To book an appointment, students must see Mrs. Young for a flier. Portraits for just the yearbook are free. This must be done by Friday, Oct. 11.

 

 


 

Upcoming Club Meetings: 

 

All high school girls interested in indoor track, soccer, or spring track please report to the media center on Thursday, October 10th, for more information about the upcoming season.

 

 


Upcoming Homecoming Events:

 

We will be having a homecoming dance after the football game on October 4th in the new gym. The dance will start following the game and will end at midnight. Admission is $5 at the gate and outside guests are allowed. If you are bringing an outside guest, please have them have their ID ready when entering the dance. 

 

If you have any homecoming questions please come by Mrs. Kendalls office. 

 

Jostens will have a meeting with seniors Tues.Oct.8th at 9:30 to talk about cap and gown orders. Jostens will  have a meeting with the juniors about class rings 

 

If you are a senior, and you have a parent or guardian that wants to be involved, please see Mrs. Pope sometime during the day. 


 

Band Announcement: Read 10/4/24

 

Best of luck to our North Duplin Marching Rebels as they will compete at the Monarch Invitational Band Competition on Saturday at Northside High School. They will go up against Southwest Onslow, Princeton and Ayden Grifton in class 2A. Best of luck to our outstanding band!
