10.2.24 Announcements

 

Attention all student drivers: If you haven't purchased your student parking pass yet and are driving to school, please do so as soon as possible. Parking is being enforced. Tickets have been issued and must be paid as soon as possible!

The Beta Club is hosting a 5K Color Run on Saturday, October 19th at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. You can register to run or walk in the 5K through the school website or the QR code on posters around campus. Proceeds from the race benefit The Outlaw Cancer Foundation and Beta Club members. Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt and goodie bag. (read all week) 

 

Attention Juniors: If you are interested in Career Connection opportunities (also known as job shadowing), please sign up on Ms. Ostheim’s door, Room 105. (read October 1-14)

 

Junior Beta Club students in 7th and 8th grade should be checking their email daily for important club information.  (read through 10/4)

 

Blood Drive Announcements: 10/1/24-10/3/24

 

North Duplin Jr. Sr. will be hosting a blood drive Thursday October 3rd in the new gym from 8:30-1:30. You must be 16 years or older to donate. Anyone that is 16 or 17 years old will need to have a parents permission slip turned in when you arrive to donate blood. Please see Mrs. Lee in room 103 for permission slips. All students who donate will be given a $10 gift card by email. You cannot use your school email address to register if you would like to receive your gift card. Flyers are posted around the school with QR codes to schedule on the right lower corner, and for rapid pass medical history that must be completed the day of donation on the left lower corner. You must use this bottom right corner QR code to schedule your time for donation. There are weight restrictions as well- please see Mrs. Lee if you have any questions. 

 

 


 

Upcoming Club Meetings: 

 

All high school girls interested in indoor track, soccer, or spring track please report to the media center on Thursday, October 10th, for more information about the upcoming season.

 

 


Upcoming Homecoming Events:

 

We will be having a homecoming dance after the football game on October 4th. The dance will start following the game and will end at midnight. Admission is $5 at the gate and outside guests are allowed. If you are bringing an outside guest, please have them have their ID ready when entering the dance. 

 

If you have any homecoming questions please come by Mrs. Kendalls office. 

 

If you are a senior, and you have a parent or guardian that wants to be involved, please see Mrs. Pope sometime during the day.
