Digital Citizenship is this week! Today is Neon Day! Today we encourage you to be informed and highlight the importance of critical thinking.
- Did you know that over 62 percent of teens turn to social media first for their news and information?
Teachers, please count up your number of students dressed up in their NEON gear today and submit on our google form emailed to you this morning! Remember students to think critically when using social media.
Tomorrow is Be Kind Online–everyone is encouraged to wear orange.
Did you know that Thursday night North Duplin has invited the NC Dept of Justice to speak to our students and parents about cyber safety? Join us Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 pm, after the middle school basketball game. Pre-register on our school website.
Attention Seniors!! Are you ready to make lasting memories with your friends? Come out for a SENIOR BONFIRE this Thursday, November 21st. The event will be held at Calypso Club Pond from 6:00-9:00 pm. There will be hotdogs, chili, and a smores dessert bar. Come when you can and leave when you must! (read through 11/21/24)
Online applications for the Duplin Health Sciences Academy are now open for current freshmen and sophomores with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and a clean discipline record. The deadline to apply is November 29. Visit the Duplin County Schools website under the Health Sciences Academy department page to apply, or ask your health sciences teacher or school counselor for more information. These students will have their work on display this Thursday night at the Wallace Depot. The reception will be from 6-7:30 p.m. The top ten pieces selected from the county show will be displayed at the Cameron Art Museum in February. Please come out and support the arts!
