IMPORTANT:  Any student who does not have access to wi-fi at home should go to the media center or front office to pick up a hot spot form at this time. Get the form signed by your parents and return it to the media center tomorrow to get a hot spot. 

 

Seniors with a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher, apply for the Duplin County Education Foundation Scholarships. Applications are due to Mrs. Cruse by Friday, Jan 23rd. (read through 1/23)

 

Boy’s and girl’s middle school soccer tryouts will be Monday, January 26 and Tuesday. January 27 from 3:05-4:45 on the junior high baseball field.  You must have a sports physical, completed DragonFly forms and paid athletic insurance to be able to try out. We will be holding a Spring Sports Parent Meeting on Thursday, January 29th at 6:00 PM.This meeting is for all Middle School and High School parents and athletes who plan to participate in a spring sport. Important information regarding expectations, schedules, and requirements for the spring season will be shared. We strongly encourage both parents and athletes to attend.

Duplin County Schools is hosting a Women in Ag Workshop on Friday, March 6. If you are interested, see Mrs. Ostheim or Mr. Woodard for a field trip permission form. If there are any 8th grade girls interested in attending, please see Mrs. Cruse this week - there are only 10 slots for 8th graders available. (Read through January 23)

Calling all students and staff, we are so excited that our Read 7 Book Challenge is smashing records! To date, we are at 2501 books read! Congratulations! Whether you are taking English at this time or not, we need everyone to keep reading! 

With winter weather in the forecast, we’re launching READuary—our January reading challenge.  If you’re snowed in, it’s the perfect time to read on. Any book, any format, any genre counts. All you need is a book to read and the time to read it! Take a selfie of you reading with your book and send it to Mrs. Laura to be registered for a chance to win a gift card! Mrs. Laura wants us to read at least 500 books during this snow storm so read on! Stop by the media center TODAY to get your books for the winter weather!
