Ms. Ostheim is planning a field trip to the University of Mount Olive on Friday, February 28. If you are interested in aviation or drone technology, computer science, marketing, cybersecurity, healthcare or human resource management, please get a permission form located outside Room 105. This opportunity is available to juniors and seniors only. (Read through Friday, February 21.)

The Summer SEED Academy is an 8-week paid ($15 per hour) learning experience designed to help you gain real-world skills, college credits, and industry connections  in advanced manufacturing or agriculture. If you are interested please see Ms. Ostheim or guidance by February 18th to sign up for the Parent Information Session .

Science Fair Winners

  • Santiago Kimes (NDJS) - Exemplary Award in Junior Biology B Category, advancing to state level fair

 

  • Madeline Kimes (NDJS) - 3rd Place Senior Biology A Category, Special Environmental Science Award, Outstanding Creativity Award

(Madeline will be invited to spend a day with environmental scientists on the UNCW campus to learn more about their work and explore her project further.)

Duplin County Ag Fact of the Day: Duplin County is the number 1 producer of hogs in North Carolina and has more hogs than any other county in the United States.
